Shade Power offers service panel upgrades to improve safety and support an electrified home

While sometimes a service panel upgrade isn’t needed, particularly with exciting new technology like load balancing EV chargers, there are a few instances when upgrading your service panel is going to be valuable:

•  When your service panel is very old and therefore could have safety issues. Some service panels, such as Zincsco panels, can pose a fire and shock risk.
• More capacity is desired for remodels, energy intensive electric appliances, HVAC upgrades, and EV charging.
• Added breaker spaces are needed. A lot of older service panels only have 12 breaker spaces and many do not allow for tandem breakers.
